lol RTT, i think ours was a foot, hand or back..i've just started feeling kicking this week too which is fab!
Tanya, as for labour pains - i've never thought that giving birth is that bad actually. The contractions are uncomfortable..but the afterpains are worse! As for getting the head out - when u think about it, the baby only has to travel about 10cm's to get out anyway so its all over fairly quickly and not as bad as it looks!

lol nobby, lets see if ur saying that when ur 8 cm's dilated!!! ha ha!
Apparently the tightening is called Heaping when ur this early on, i asked my sonographer as it happened when she was scanning me and she even showed me on the screen this little hill where it was tightening! lol was very strange but nice to see what it was as i get it quite alot! :)

*!#%!@ Nobby, you make it sound like a walk in the park. And what on earth are these after pains? I've never heard of them before. Do they last hours or days after the birth? Pets are good enough for me at the moment. I love babies, and i really want a tattoo, but i'm too scared for either lol.

Lol you lot aren't doing much to change my mind at the mo haha. I really love babies, the smell of them, their tiny little fingers and toes, their tiny nails, little eyelashes, little fat bums, little crinkles in their lips, ahhh makes me broody....then you lot come along and remind me how they get here [Log in to view email] I tell you what Nobby, you can do all the painful part and i'll bring it up for you. When it starts answering back, i'll bring it home to you haha.

Yep, everyone says that. Besides, i'd like to think i have ages yet anyway, still young. By zoo keeps be busy enough at the moment lol. Can't wait to see this baby though Nobby. Just found out my cousins fiance is pregnant. There's always someone pregnant in my family. On my moms side alone i have 17 cousins and about 10 second cousins. It's more on my dads side lol.

It IS a walk in the park!! lol I think the labour bit is easy - its the pregnancy bit i hate. ok ok, i know im weird, everyone's already told me! With my first labour i had her at home - NO pain relief and i was only 19 too. All done and dusted within 4hours from beginning to end. And second baby i had as a waterbirth. Again - i didnt make hardly any noise, just concentrated on what i had to do and within about 6hours she was here. Easy! Afterpains though..OUCH! Not looking forwards to those this time if they get worse each time. Ur ok on first baby though Tanya, u dont get afterpains at all. :o)

Well i hope i can say the same Nobby lol. Waterbirths are supposed to be a bit less painful because the water relaxes your muscles?

Thanks nobby, i love the name too, her full name is maisy-jane but she just gets called mais lol.

I havent got a name for this one yet....weve been told they 60% its a girl but have got a late scan today so will get then to have a sneaky look and see if theres anything dangling lol. I like george or edward for a boy (OH not too sure, thinks its old fashioned) and we had decided on poppy-louise for a girl but my mums friends dogs called poppy and its a right savage little poodle so put me off the name lol.

We also like sophie, anna, bell ,brierley, or faith. At the mo its just called bump lol.

Nobby do you know what your having yet?

Dunno wot we are having yet, but i think its a girl. Will probably be totally wrong - am 99% at predicting other people's babies, but always get mine wrong!! haha!
How many scans have u had? Im only on my 2nd, so dunno if we'l be able to find out or not yet. Not sure how many scans u get during pregnancy!

hey, i think it depends on where your from, im from worcestershire and we have 2 scans down here, the first dating scan at about 10 weeks and then a 20 week scan where they can usually see what your having...i had a late scan yest at 37 weeks cos they thought i had a low lying placenta but turned out its just where its ment to be lol.

Id def recommend one of the private 4d scans...we had one with maisy and it was lovely, we got a dvd and about 200 pics and a 100% it was a girl...it cost us £150 but was def worth it.
