Anyone have any Ideas, I have a 1996 2.5 CD Vauxhall Omega Estate. Gorgeous Car to drive, I have had very little problems with it. However the REV counter does not always work, for some unknown reason if Im on long journey belting down the Motorway, sometimes it will register then just die of for no apparent reason. I would imagine there is a loose connection somewhere.

Has anyone had a similar problem to this, or is there another site you know of, that would give problem-solving advice for Home Mechanics. I can’t find any online sites with manuals at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

Had a similar problem on a BMW with the speedo, I used to get it to work by banging the top of the dash.

Got it sorted now...it was the dustboard, which I cleaned out and cheeked all the connections.
