ford radio code required

I have a ford 3000 traffic radio cassette that requires a code,problem is,the previous owner for some reason has removed the label that contained BOTH serial no. and part no. I've managed to find the serial no. on the dealer label, but not the part no. Located on the jack plug inputs is a no.POSSIBLY the part no. So here goe's; Serial no. m260953. Part no.(?) 98AP-14A624. If this number is incorrect can the radio be stripped of its outer casing to locate part no.? Many thanks for help.
