how do i adjust a pvc door
Messages 1 to 8 of 8.
i assume the door fits the frame etc but is catching either top bottom or sides ? If so... on the inside of the door by the hinges are normally plastic covers over a square section that extends from the hinge ? this depends on the make of door of course, if so remove these covers they normally fall off with a little finger pressure at the sides, in here you wil find the adjusting screws. suggest you sqwert some wd40 on them before you try to turn them. Normally a cross head screw. You will need to adjust all of them or you will distort the door and it wont swing righ tor locks match up etc. keep opening and closing as you adjust to make sure your going the right direction Al
can you upload a picture so I can see what it looks like ? thanks Al
ok when you can, I'm at a wedding Sat so earliest I can look at it would be Sun anway. Al
One, and simply taking up the slack on the others. If raising the door, I adjust the bottom hinge first, then the middle, and the top just until they bite ! Let me know how you get on
