talking to a work mate this week, he told me that he wants to change the cam belt on his f reg golf gti, but has found or been told that the cam belt tensioner is not available to buy new, he said he has contacted euro parts, swedish german etc, but no one has been able to help him, has anyone found a supplier

if you cannot find one here uk then these people will send one they are very good it wont cost a lot extra i dont think duty would be payable on a low cost item the below link is for an 8 valve i belive
shipping is about £12-£13

i have used then for the tentioner rollers on a focus tdci as ford only sell the whole thing and you can just get the rollers from them

thanks fasty, i will pass the info on, he was talking about it again today, he mentioned something about a double pully wheel that someone he's been talking to said could be welded, not sure if he was talking about the cam belt adjuster or something else,
