Mercedes 230 Non Starter

Mercedes 230 Non Starter

I have a Merc 230, an "S" registration, which stood for about 4 months, and is now a job to start, but after starting it, it runs like a crab, and will not rev. I've tried new Plugs, fuel, and checked fuses, but I'm
naffed now. Has anybody any ideas, Please.

It sounds like it could be one of the vacuum pipes or the wire that runs from under the air filter down to the water pump.
