still no news This is a message from the dogs owner Hello everyone. I would just like to say thank you so much for helping me & supporting me since my little baby boy was taken from me. Thank you. I thought it would be good to keep you all informed about my efforts, & to let you know how important your help is... Since the moment my angel disappeared from my garden on Weds 14th Oct 4pm I had friends, family, & dogs out searching for him. We searched roads all around my area (in case he was hit by a car), we searched in & around every farmers field & river within a 4 mile radius of my house. We were calling, whistling, we had torches, we spoke to neighbours all around me.. nothing. He had vanished, been taken. We were all out until 1:30am Thurs morning (I went back out again alone until 3am frantic to find him). Nothing. When I got home I sent his picture & details out to as many online dog sites as possible, & registered him as stolen.. Straight away I designed a poster & printed off as many as I could (around 100) until my ink run out. I distributed them around my area within an hour. I then contacted my friend who worked in a printers, & she printed me off 2000 posters, & 2000 smaller leaflets. They were all posted & handed out within 3 days. So I had 3000 more printed. Not only have I put up posters, but I have also been into various travellers sites enquiring about my baby, & offering a large sum of money if they find him.. I have contacted the Paul O'Grady show several times (still no response, so please feel free to contact him too!). My posters have come with me to markets, boot sales - every single stool was given posters, football grounds, vets, shops, petrol garages, stable yards, taxi ranks, sorting offices, handed to every postman I see, parks, pubs, cafes, rescue centres, the list goes on... I haven't stopped yet. I of course contacted local councils, & highways agencies in case of the worst... Sitings... I won't list them all because some are still suspicious.. the worst experience for me so far though was getting a call one evening from a gentleman who spotted a dead white dog in a river while fishing. Convinced it was my baby, I had to spend a night trying to accept that this was the end of the road for my little angel.. I met a guy who managed the river the next morning. We saw the dog, upside down. It was the same size as my angel, & the riverman said that in the 7 years he had worked on this stretch he had never come across a dead dog.. I had to accept it was my boy. But the more I stared at the dog, the more I doubted it was him.. "IT'S GOT HAIRY TOES" I screamed! My baby has very very short/none existant hair on his toes! I waited until the man got his equipment to get the dog out.. IT WAS NOT HIM!!! Too coincidental. This experience was devastating. I requested that the riverman take the dog to a vets to be identified. It was a little staffy cross bitch, bless her. I have been searching online for a missing staffy of her description, but nothing has come up yet. So sorry for who ever has lost a staff. x x Today.. after a crazy busy weekend out & about with posters again, today I plan to go a bit further out. Fingers crossed, I won't give up. I have missed my little angel since the second I knew he was gone. Please help me to get his photo out to as many people as possible. It's the only chance I have. If anyone has any contacts in the tv industry, newspapers, or radio, please do contact them & ask that they read up my story (send them a link to this group) & ask if there is anything in their power that they can do to help. Also, even if you don't know anyone personally, if as many people as possible contact shows like Paul O'Grady, maybe they might respond. I am trying. I haven't been to work since he's been gone, I haven't been out at all socially. And the stress is really taking it's toll on me... Thank you again everybody.
