Has anyone ever found a easy way of getting Google to give better search results, more applicable to what you are searching for.
Have tried enclosing in quotation marks, using plus & minus, varying the way I type the question, but still get load of non applicable results.

Re google search,I will try and explain.I am trying to record from computer to DVD recorder.
It is no problem,to use the computer as a monitor,to record from,a digital box on to a DVD recorder, using re-writable discs, that can be edited.
I am trying to capture the video output,re monitor port, either digital or VGA and save on a DVD recorder,as a cheap recorder, records better, that trying to record on a computer, even using an Intel 4 at 3Mhz
I did find one gizmo,to view PC on TV,but not shore if this would work and nobody seems to heard of this idea

is there any reason why you need to record to a DVD recorder

as there are many screen capturing programs you can use then just burn it to a DVD-RW

Yes a DVD Recorder, records in real time, with screen capture programs, they never work properly,if say you record a 15 min video using screen capture,it can be recorded at pal standard,25 fps.in real time as an AVI file. When played back in real player,it looks very jerky, like the old black & white movies.
Converting it to a DVD standard, takes forever and a day and looses frames in the process.
Then when DVD is compiled and burnt, you are lucky if it plays at all.
If recording direct to a DVD player,on the DVD you have A number of VOB files, which can be copied to hard drive, edited and recompiled on to a DVD
