idle speed control valve............. had this problem before, you slow down and just at the point when it should idle by itself it stalls.

Locate and and remove the idle speed control valve (ISCV). spray with carb cleaner and replace 5 min job cost 5 quid for carb cleaner and 50 p for a ISCV gasket. Remove and clean the 2 breather hoses coming out of the top of your cam box. You may find a yoghurt like substance inside them which is part of the problem.
