i got a r reg micra 2 wks ago ans it was runnung fine, over the last few days its been stuttering and sounding like its going to cut out and is jerky and loosing power then pickin it up again, it does it worse cold but does it occasionaly when its been going for a while. its a 1 ltr and has done 67,000. any ideas pls, funds are tight at the min and im dreading taking it to a garage as i cant afford it. im hoping its something simple. pls pls advise!!!

hi,
its either petrol or electrical, whichever route you go it's a 50% chance it's the other, i would start by changing the spark plug's, ht lead's and the distributor cap

thanx tommy ill get my son to change the oil and plugs first and see how it goes from there, ii drove it today, gave it a minuet to warm up before driving off and it didnt do it and was fine, v odd!
