Ford CD/Radio 6000

My cigarette lighter recently blew a fuse which in turn meant when I put a new fuse in fixed the lighter , and interior light but radio /CD now doesnt not recognise the correct CODE I had been using on my recently purchAsed second hand Fiesta Diesel.The serial number is M300538 and CODE Is 0871 but that code is now NOT working.The ON /OFF button allows me to type the CODE but as soon as I press the button no 5 the radio appears to select a frequency and then everything shuts down. I have managed to press button 6 + 5 together and this seems put it into some kind of test audio mode as radio come on for abut 10 seconds...which proves the speakers/unit I believe are still A1 OK.The problem is it doesnt like the correct code anymore. If anyone out there has any ideas would really apprecaite your thoughts. Cheers,
