Hi all i have a 406 hdi 03 glx and im having problems with the headlights, you can adjust the lights manualy left right up down but the headlights seem to go too high and the main beam dosn't seem to move and its a nightmare now with the dark nights comming on. Had it to a couple of garages and they seem to think i might need new headlights.By the way the main beam is quite low.Does anyone have any sugestions. Thanks

hi i take it your are meaning that the control inside the vehicle for height adjustment is not working if the headlights are adjusted on beam setter they should be okay if they are not adjusting with the control inside the vehicle the chrome reflector in the headlight is sticking why did they say you needed new lights on your vehicle regards rgd

hi the adjuster inside the car is working but there dosen't seem to be that great a movement from the adjusters on the headlight.I think they said new headlights because they were at a loss how to fix them and they weren't peugeot dealers.

hi at the back of the headlamps you will see what looks like a box this is your automatic adjustment of your lights when you control them from inside your vehicle in this box their is a rod which clips in to the reflector inside the headlamp sometimes these jump out get someone to move the control inside the vehicle and you look and see if the reflector is fully moving if not you can easily remove the box from the back of the lamp by turning it if it comes away in your hand then the rod has jumped out regards rgd

Hi RGD tried that today the rod was ok but wiggled it a few times and it seems ok now so thanks for the help.
