Vista has its own burning software, once files selected, click on file, then send to, a drop down list will show your cd/dvd drive, click on that and your files will be burned to disc

Or you could try this free http://www2.ashampoo.com/webcache/html/1/home_2_GBP.htm

Unless you have a disk that can be burned more than once(RRW) , I don't think your computer will be able to erase the contents of the disk. And to get disks to play on dvd players, as far as I know only certain formats of data will play- I know when a friend was burning some disks, he got annoyed with them not being in the right format, so he purchased a dvd player with Div-x included, as this plays most other formats. I'm not an expert on burning however, I leave that all up to the feller ;)

Hi

There are plenty of free burn software online

http://www.softwarecybersleuth.co.uk/pagetwo_continued.htm
http://www.thefreecountry.com/utilities/parti......oneditors.shtml
http://www.filehippo.com/

Check your portable dvd manual it should list the dvd formats that it can read.

Hope this helps
