i gave mine too the second hand shop, oxfam.we have one in coventry that centres on brides dresses and bridesmaids.why not auction it on ebay? charge posting or local pick up and see how it goes. Their isnt much call for secondhand dresses now i dont think.which is a pity!!!

Oh you will think I am mad but I still have my wedding dress from the 1970s, packed away in its box in the loft. I also have my mum's wedding dress from the 1930's and can't bear to part with either of them, not that I would fit in either nowadays even if I wanted to!!!!!! I don't really know why I am keeping them though, just sentiment I suppose. If you can't find a buyer for yours why not pack it away as I have done. Like someone else said, there doesn't seem to be much of a demand for wedding dresses except at specialist bridal shops who sell or hire secondhand, or maybe amateur dramatic societies, but you would get nothing like its value.

If you do pack your dress away to store, then don't put it in a plastic bag, you should use tissue paper otherwise the material will discolour and could rot.

you could also try one of them large vaccum/space saving bags which seal, less likely to disscolour or get eaten by moths then as it will be air tight.
