Getting cheesed off with seeing ads about Drivers LOOKING out for motorcyclists, its about time bicycle and Motorcylists took a lot more notice of cars than they do,reason i posted was after seeing 3 accidents where bikes had gone into cars due to speeding by undertaking on slippery roads and snaking in and out of cars/lorries/buses,i am generalising due to the amount of bikes that do not take into account cars cannot stop on a sixpence even with the new braking systems

several times I had seen bike riders on the wrong side of the road to overtake during traffic jams, always swaying to miss motors on both sides which can be a pain on some roads because they are on you before you can do anything about them,so riders (i was going to say please) take into account cars and other motors are about and those adverts should be for you, not majority of us car drivers

I think you have only seen one side of the adverts as their are adverts telling riders to think as well as the ones you have seen.
I have had one near miss, as a car driver with a motor cycle, I just didnt see him at first. Had a few bikers try and lay on my bonnet at roundabouts lol. Cyclists I agree are terrible but they dont have to pay insurance which the should nore do you have to have training, which they should as well as tax and registration.

As a bike rider for over a year. Cars, buses, lorry's drivers are very oblivous they do not drive in the centre of lane, They do not pull over, they dont under stand that a bike can go round bends better than their vehicles. (in dry) They do not give way to you when they should. I have had two very frighting experieces and been hit by a mpv (which wrote of my bike disabled me for about a week and took 5 weeks to recover and sort out from. None of which I had done anything wrong.

On my regular route people fight to over take me then I go though the centre of traffic and pass them all at lights and roundabout. Next I have to go up the inside of traffic as every one blocks the outside. Then I find a nice person to let me across to out side. Then I have to toot people who are sitting right out to the right hand side of the lane blocking what could be my clear passage.

Not saying all bikers are great, by far, but other vehicle drivers just do not seem to be aware you are their. I cant really speed either as its a moped lol so that plays no part. I love raising my left hand to say thanks to people who wake up and move before you get to them.

Im one who forces motor bikes to under take on main fast roads. As I dont always feel its safe for me to pull in and out again so I move to right and indicate to show them Im aware their there and they can safely pass me. many road uses just cant drive to a higher enough standard as I have the complaints when in the car with other vehicles.

i have been riding motorcycles all my life and like all road users there are the good and bad, just by way of the amount of people that drive cars in relation to motorcyles there are more poor car drivers than motorclyists, we all need to look out for each other and be more tolerant but i do have to say that a lot car drivers tend to look for large objects rather than smaller ones hence accidents with bikes , i took and passed the advanced test on a bike and would recomend others to do the same, as i teaches you the benifits of defensive riding.

Im sorry that you are a bit cheesed off. When you are stationary in a jam in your nice warm car, the bikers are doing what they are supposed to be doing, that is make progress. Its all part of the new motorcycle test to 'make progress'. I have been biking since 1966 and never has the situation been as dire as it is now. I can asure you that bikers have motorists in mind at all times. Most superbike / sports bike riders have done advanced riding courses at the least a Police run 'Bikesafe' course where they will pull you up if you dont 'make progress'. Drive safe EP.

I assume you are speaking for all bikers,it is strange how what you say is not the same as what you actually do,I have also heard it all before, and been behind a few bikers that say they dont do something and do the exact opposite.

Cyclists are the same, they spent ages trying to get councils to install lanes specially for them and do they use them??? No of course not, they`d rather stay on a road they complained about and annoy/act dangerously in front of both motorbikers and cars.

I am not a perfect driver by a long way,but I dont go out of my way to annoy other drivers 2 wheeled or 4
