hi all i have a p reg smiley face style transit but my heater only works on full have fitted new switch and blower fan anyone know if there any other parts so i can have blower fan on low medium and hi as getting fed up with blower on full as noisey many thanks

The chances are it is the HEATER RESISTOR that is faulty. This is a very common fault on Fords...where only Setting 4 (full tilt !) works on the heater blower.

I think on the transit this resistor is behind one of the headlights.

If you can find it , then it is worth checking as quite often it is just the connectors that have overheated and burnt away. They can be cleaned up with a file+soldering iron as a temporary measure .

In the long term a new replacement is the better option. They cost around £20 for a new one.

Try Ebay......Put TRANSIT HEATER RESISTOR in the Search Box and go from there !

thanks will have a look and try and find the resistor be helpfull if iknew what i was looking for so will look on ebay first
