hi, my forks on my dt125 are realy soft, does any1 know if this is caused by no oil in forks or needing a oil change or something pls help as this is my track bike and it aint much good like this. lol

There could be a few things making your forks soft but as it's being used off road I would be checking the oil level, the length of the springs inside the legs & if the forks are air assisted then the air pressure. Are the top yokes clamped high enough in the steering head assembly? All this stuff is in the service manual & can download for free from http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp

hi, thanks for this i have a book for a older dt125lc and have downloaded a newer version now.. the forks are oil just release the caps on top, with springs in? il check the manuals and see.

If you're using the DT as a field bike, put heavier fork oil into it. You could also source upgraded springs. The standard springs won't last pissing time if you're doing jumps & wheelies.
