Well sinse moving into my latest house about 6 months ago, all my cats keep on getting conjunctivitus. I have moved in an old victorian house which has a habbit of getting dusty really quick. Ive spent money on taking them to the vets as well as doing the at home tea bag trick, i manage to get rid of it and it just comes back, i have got the treatment from the vet and have been using that but they still get it again its rather annoying

Has anyone else had this problem and if so wat did u do about it?

Hmm, the bigger, older houses can be quite cold too can't they, could it be drafts or something that might be causing it?
Ahh you don't seem to be having alot of luck lately with your kitties. How is Bartleby now? Her toe and leg better?

Ah well that's good news. She's giving herself a good run around after being cooped up for weeks! I bet she's jumping around on purpose just to scare you haha.
I'm not sure, but i think draftyness can cause eye problems. But i wouldn't have thought that a cat would sit directly in a drafty area? But you never know.
You could try and get some of those draught excluders that you put at the bottom of doors, might keep the chill out a bit.
Hope they all get over it soon though.
And that you start being more lucky with them all lol.

i could give it a go, none of them sit anywhere near the doors, they always curled up on the blanket on the sofa. See its never major with them but i just cant go very long without at least one of them getting it, just annoying!!

I doubt i will ever have much luck tbh lol

are the kitties sneezing or anything else!!
if one has it and the other has not it will spread easily in between treatments, what about any blankets they use, do u wash them once the have started being treated?
i had a cat once we thought he had a simple conjunctivitus turned out it was cat flu, highly contagiouse and some cases can be very difficult to clear up and of corse can be fatal!!
how do u feel??
dont mean to worry you but carbon monoxide weakens the immune system in humans and animals!!

Hi Nunu
If you go to http://www.theanimalpharmacy.com you can get some medications without a prescription, a lot cheaper than going to the vet for minor ailments... I always have a couple of bottles of Maxitrol which is good for short term ey infections....
If all of your cats have it though could be some sort of virus.
Hope it helps.....
