I've got 1.3 escort with injection engine. It's got an extremely high fuel consumption and occassionly cuts out when i come to junction (usually when it's cold). I think it's constantly running rich and the mixture's wrong Any ideas on what's broken to cause it to run rich, or any clues as to what else may cause it?

You could test the items yourself - it depends how competent you feel you are. If you disconnect the cold start injector, and road test the vehicle you may find that it is the cause of you problem.....let me know

I've replaced the air filter and it's ok. Theres no leaks and the hoses seem to be fine. I've checked the coolant temp sensor at the weekend and thats ok and the sender unit's ok. My temp gauge doesn't work either, you see!
