I have a 1.4 L reg Escort (single point injection) which when i have taken it for its mot has Passed the emissions test easily on both the co2 and the hc emiisions. The problem lies with the Lambda reading with simply doesnt want to play ball. I have changed the Lambda sensor and still get the same high reading on the emission test. Anyone have any ideas on what could be casuing this problem?? Im at my wits ends as this is the only thing holding me back from that Elusive MOT certificate.

You will have a leak on your exhaust - somewhere between the lambda sensor and the tail pipe.
