Bessacarr spare wheel

I have just bought a 1988 550GL, twin axle. One slight problem is the lack of a spare wheel. Does anyone know if I have to go to a caravan dealer or does a car wheel fit, if so which make, model & year(s)of car(s). Any help would be appreciated,
