Just had 4 new Avon tyres fitted to my road going Escort MK6 and if I now "swerve" the car quickly or enter a bend reasonably quickly then the back end of the car does not feel like it is or wants to follow the front. Not sure if tracking does this or if it is a suspension problem etc. It did not happen until the new tyres were fitted (today). Any advice appreciated.

As a tyre fitter, i find it unlikely that it is your tracking at fault. Are your tyre pressures correct? If the tyres are assymetrical or directional, are they fitted correctly? What make were your previous tyres? All tyre manufacturers use slightly different compounds and construction methods, and it may be that you just need to get used to your new tyres and how they perform.

New tyres are always a bit slippy for a day or two, I wouldn't worry just yet.
