I've just fitted new brake pipes on a frontera, finding it impossible to bleed them. Manually just won't clear the air through and eezibleed won't fit because the master cylinder isn't screw fit. Any help gratefully received, thanks

Does it have ABS ?
If so
1)Ignition off
2)Remove ABS fuse
3)Start engine and allow to idle
4)Start with L/H/R, R/H/R, L/H/F, R/H/F
5)Pump pedal two/three times
6)Attach bleed hose into jar of brakefluid.
7)Open bleed screw
8)Press brake pedal to floor then close bleed nipple.
9)Repeat 4 through 8 until all air is expelled.
10)If it has a load proportion valve this has to activated when bleeding the rear rakes.
When finished dont forget to replace ABS fuse.

Dave, Thanks for the help, Can you explain 10. What do you mean by activate the load proportion valve. Do you mean open the bleed screw on it at the same time as bleeding the rear brakes? Thanks

If it has a bleed nipple on it then yes bleed it out before bleeding rear brakes, but you will probably have to bleed it with the rear wheels in there normal running position - ie rear of the vehicle not jacked up.
If it doesn't have a bleed nipple then bleed the rear brakes as described above - not jacked up !

Thank you. At the moment have got all the wheels off and the car up on axle stands/jacks. Maybe this has been partly why I haven't been able to clear the air so far. Will get the wheels back on and try again. thanks for the advice.

Still won't clear the air. Even managed to get a good seal on the master cylinder and use eezibleed, but theres still air in them. Have got rear wheels back on , front still jacked up. would that make a difference?

Ok - when you removed the brake pipes did all the brake fluid drain out of the master cylinder ? if so try this but you will need two people.
Pump the brake pedal a few times then hold down - crack open one of the brake pipes at the master cylinder - then close, pump pedal again and hold down- crack open again - do this until you get a jet of brake fluid from the pipe ( obviously protect the paintwork with a rag or something) - do this to all the pipes at the master cylinder - you may need to bleed the four corners again.
Good luck !
