ah i see , rite theres a place called brooks barn motorcycle parts,there in wales.they have everything for your bike,look them up on google search,(you have used the wrong belt)the others will sell you anything just for the sale.go to this site,good luck,and let me know how you get on.regards.graham.

Hi, I wonder if anyone could help me? I have a Baotian bt49, recently purchased second hand. It started to stall after starting and on the go it would lose power. I took it to a mechanic who has seemingly fixed all of the problems, he also stated that he had cleaned the carb....since this has been done my scooter is now running a little rough at times and missing a little. Its not derestricted so it reaches 35mph no probs and when it's on the go. The mechanic told me it would be a little sluggish after having the carb cleaned but I have since done about 50 miles and it doesn't seem to be clearing? Still sometimes stalls after starting! Does anyone have any ideas what it could be? Also my scooter appears to use an excessive amount of petrol! Any tips or info would be much appreciated.

hey my friend has an 11 i notice whilst tinkering with my qt-9 tht the cable coming from the belt housing at the top near the inlet pipe is connected to the pink wire and as i never put the housing back on correctly it got chewed up in the belt and then i realised u can just cut this wire. i checked on my friends 11 and cut it went for a ride and got it up to 39mph he has a 58 plate and its a 138qma/b engine i think so have a look for this wire it should have a rubber gromit around it (if u need to re restrict later just splice the cable back it'l work fine. and if u have an accident and u havent declared to ure insurer tht u de restricted it then it can look like it happened accidentally (therefor no invalidating insurance) (not that im incuraging doing this) MAKE SURE U ALWAYS TELL INSURERS ;)

Hello.......... Am after some help (again) I got my Scooter in Aug 08.
My Scooter is not starting!! When I turn it on it seems to start ticking over but wont start! I have been told that it could be blocked..... I t wont kick start either! Has any1 else had this proplem OR got any ideas that I could try??Thanx

i disconnected pink wire and gagged emission pipe and now get 45 mph on the straight and 20 up steep hills.
i should add that i am 19+stone in weight!!! a lot to ask from a small unit,but it does deliver come rain or shine.
i have done 3000 km in one year just around town with no problems as such

I have a 2008 qt49 - 11 retro. Am looking at derestricting it, It seems like the Cdi or something is slowing it down as you can feel it wanting to go faster but not being able to. Any ideas (have looked and there's no pink wire).

CDI SHOULD BE UNDER PANEL ON RIGHT SIDE BLACK BOX WITH ABOUT 6 WIRES TO IT THER E SHOULD BE APINK WIRE THERE

You need a new speed cable cost may be £8.50; try http://www.centralscooter.co.uk
Any motorbike repair shop can fixed it,if u supply the parts.Nothing to worry too much Best regards

hey steve i had same problem my belt shredded and i got a new one but cant seem to get the kickstart cog off to get the belt on, any tips of how u got yours on without damagin the cog, thanks email me [Log in to view email]
