hi my son has a baotian 50cc we cleaned out the carbs and now it wont run but the feul is leaking out everything is sealed ive been told there is a certain way u have to set the jets and that but dont know how or what the setings are can anyone help cheers sean

hi i dont know much about them but there is a rubber washer on a long pin and thets where its leaking from cant remember what its called
ive been told its letting in to much fuel and i need to set the jets or something

the message i got was your fuel cage not working
that norm the tank float gone
but if you think carb letting to much fuel in ajust the carb flaot tab to let less in

you have to take carb apart you will see a plastic float that pushes the cut out valve up n down , were it touches the valve theres a little metal tab u ajust it there,
by bending it but be gentle and a tiny bit at a time

CARB PROBLEM post a cameraphone picture of where the carb is leaking from on here so we can see. did you take the float off the bottom of the carb,
you may have put it back on upside down.

i didnt take the float out but i will give that a try thats not where its leaking from though i will try and add a pic of where its leaking im not to good with this so bear with me cheers sean the pic is where its leaking from even when screwed up tight

Hi can anyone please tell me how to remove the tyre off the front wheel? I have a slow puncture as the rubber around the valve has perished.

hey, here's my guide Remove seat (2 10mm nuts on top and 2 10mm nuts in the seat and one screw at the front) loosen the pipe going into the carb from the airbox/airfilter loosen the pipe going from the carb going to the engine pull off both pipes unscrew flat head underneith the carb and put the pipe near it into your fuel tank and blow into the one on the top DO NOT GET THIS THE WRONG WAY ROuND or risk a mouth full of petrol unscrew all 5 screws from the under side of the carb u'll see a brass screw with a hole in it near the middle ish unscrew this and put the new one in rebuild tilt bike to the left for 1 min start enjoy

Got my 16yr old son for his birthday last week ,passed its mot thursday no problem however the bloody stupid thing is only doing about 20mph . did parts 1 and 2 of the derestrict thing and managed to get 30mph ! he needs this to get to 6th form in september and has a couple of hills to get up so if anyone can give us advice on how we can get 40/50mph then would be very grateful , weve heard it is possible god only knows how !!! also bought him a top box for his school gear and even though it says universal it would cover the fuel cap ??? were in manchester so if anyone knows and is local lol somebody help pleeeeeeeeeease its driving us mad !

The top box should have a bracket that takes it past the fuel cap, you have to take of the l.e.d brake light and the bracket fits into the holes that are left, hope this helps, also a 50cc should not go above 30mph anyway, my advise is to leave it at that, especially for a 16 year old. Put it this way come off at 30, cuts and bruises, come of at 50 . . . .. well ill leave it to your imagination

they do go fast 30, mine goes about 45mph ish. and i won't it go go about 50 now, i need the extra speed. but i can't find the cdi unitany help please? where is the cdi unit on my yiben hurricane?

Hi, I got a baotian 50cc scoot BT49 QT-9, can any one tell me what will be the correct spark plug gap for this model, also when i start it there is too much smel of petrol coming along with the exaust. another problem is if i park it out side the gerage/ shed overnight, the next morning it takes ages to get start but if i park it in side it starts easily. can any one sort it for me please. thanks
