Thanks for your message, but if I do not have the bike on the main stand the Kick Start jams on the main stand, so I was unable to try your suggestion. I am not too bothered, but I will be if my electric start breaks or the battery runs down. Cheers

I have had my bike since last August, so approx the same amount of time. I am going to overhaul the bike this weekend as per the manual, i.e. Change the oil, Clean the Air filter, and I will also replace the spark plug. I dont think my Kick Start has been working for a long time, in fact I have never kick started it. Hopefully I will have some answers this weekend. I was very much enjoying my commute before this happened, I am a country boy and cannot cope travelling through London without it. I am happy to communicate with you out of this group if you have any more questions, or advise for me: beegary AT Hotmail dot com

My Baotian BTQ50-9 had no problems at all since i bought it 4 months ago. this morning i came across a little problem and i wonder if anyone can help... everytime i rev the engin it cuts out, i though maybe because the weather was cold.. but i did run it for 5 minutes bfr i left the house,,, so it cuts out everytime i rev the engin but it runs ok if you leave it running on standby any advice would be very gratful many thanks shaggi28 Adverts Currently On Preloved - Place an ad here for free
ive been lookin at the baotian scooters and i was wondering if they are reliable? ive read alot of things on this forum about faulty bikes. how many different models r there? if there are more models is their any particular model which is better than others? im new to mopeds so any help would be wicked! thanks alot. Adam

the tax disc holder there. Doesn't get hot and is protected from the worst of any rain/sleet/snow. Good luck Chrisw
Hello everyone. An update from me: I called out the RAC (was on a family memebrship), I was covered! They were out in twenty minutes. We took the seat off and JUMP Started her. We did not find the battery but the 'Points' that connect wires to the starter motor and to the battery/ignition are clearly visible under the seat. It started first time then. So I left her running for about an hour with no lights or anything on. Now the girl starts first time evry time (whatever the weather) like before. Although before I did keep my lights on all the time, now I am a little careful and leave the bike running when I finish my journey for a couple of mins with not lights on. I am going to book her in for a service though, I think I will totally replace the battery if they can find it, bet it is just a cheapy one not prepared for starting in English winters!! I still cannot get my bike to kick start though? Tax Disc - I dont put it anywhere on my bike cos I heard they get stolen alot in London. So I carry it around with me. I have had no problems doing this for over six months now - Even parked just off Oxford Circus for a whole day!!!!!!!! I would still recommend this bike to anybody, I love my commute on it, and hate it off it. So a couple of days not starting in over 6 months I am totally happy with. I hope this helps everyone, also remember not to throttle until you actually hear the engine kick in, or else you will always have starting problems. Jesus saves, Pele slots in the rebound.
just got my new baotian 50cc from ebay,put it all together and put petrol in but it wont start the brake light goes dim then cuts out,could this be the battery just needs charging,just that it said on the paper work it wouldnt need charging should this still kick start ta
