Note that the Baotian is similar to the Zhongyu (ZYQT-7 is Zhongyu speak for the QT50-9 and the ZY125T-2 is Zhongyu speak for 125T-9). There is a message board here:http://excoboard.com/exco/index.php?boardid=7905

I am reading a lot about de restricting these machines to get them to go faster, i have just ordered the baotian "monkey bike" from ebay. I was wandering if anyone has found a bore up kit for the bikes? 70 or 90? do the jincheng kits fit?

hi all
got my baotian up and running now all seems fine,can anyone tell me if they have run there bike in,and is there anyway you can stop the beebing noise when indicator is on.thanks

Hi, i was wondering if you could offer any tips on removing the driven gear part that conseals the restriction ring, as i am finding this very difficult

hi lindare your bike no spark - there is a switch/connection integral safety feature on the side stand that if 'activated' bike still turns over but not spark -- worth checking the electrics/switch on the side stand - hope this helps

Any suggestions anywhere: I bought a new Baotian 50cc scooter for my 16 year old son from Ebay. It runs on the flat and downhill just fine (if 30mph is fine) but the minute it gets to the slightest incline the power drops off and so does the speed to the point where it just stops moving but the motor is still gently running!!! Stop the engine and fire it up again and off it goes. I have done the brass screw & the changing the needle position things which have made virtually no difference at all. Ideas??? Anything wopuld be apreciated. Dave

have you taken the pink wire off also you need to do 300klm run in were did you find the brass sgrew as i,ve been looking for ever also if you take it to a garage they can take some wassers out of the gears linkage it then should do at least 50mph.let us know how you get on

Hi Harrison, The brass screw is in the carberetta.Under the seat, open black box and the screw is in the middle of a spring. You also need to lower clip on the needle down 2-3 notches.Linda.

I have removed the brass screw but I do not understand what you all mean by 'You also need to lower clip on the needle down 2-3 notches', what clip?Cheers

hi i havelooked all over the carb and can not find the brass screw also i have removed the 2 screws that hold the black cover down and lowered the needle to the second but last point but like isaid can not find screw this is driving me mad is there any1 that lives near leeds that i can pop over and see over the weekend so they can show me were this brass screw is cheers all

Hi Harrison. Turn over the black plastic cap that was held down with the 2 screws on to the top of the carb and you should be able to see the slotted brass screw. In short, it is part of the black cap. If it's not there maybe a previous owner has already removed it for you. Good luck.
