citroen zx heater smell

I have just bought a ZX diesel and noticed that when i put the fan heater on the smell is a very strong and the heater is very hot when the blower is on
Is there a problem I should be concerned about?

its most probably because its not been used in the hot position for some time a bit of dust gets on it then when you put the heater on it starts to smell quite fowl bit like wee??
