The above boat is due a new engine and I desperately need to know maximum hp as recommended by mfr... or a well educated guess!, it currently has a 30hp Suzuki but ideally I would like to go to 40hp, some say 'ok', others say 'stick to 30',....any ideas guys???

Marina used to make a 14'6 ski boat which was rated to 80hp if this is the same hull (which is usually the case)You will be fine with a 40hp.marina used to put a small metal badge with a s/n on the back of the boat either on the transom or in the splashwell this tag had the hp rating aswell.If you have any problems or are unsure email me some pictures and i should be able to visually i.d for you .
