I have read the method to cure this problem on the Escort, do I do the same for a Mondeo? Thankyou. Mo.

You can sometimes fix this on the Mondeo by pushing both front seats forward, and from the rear of the car locate some yellow cabling fixed to a connector under or near the front seats. With the ignition off, undo the connectors and wait five minutes. Then re-connect, and your airbag light should be off. If this doesn't work, it may be a sensor fault. Of course, there may actually be something wrong with your airbags...
