However, and not at all aimed at you Dev, but as a gentle reminder to everyone of the overall plan?. I'm not an eccentric millionaire with nothing better to do than answer Carver questions. No, my hope is to help people save money but at the same time when they do need parts to get them from me. What hurts me is armed with free information from here people swan off and spend their dosh with someone else. But what really gets to me is when it all goes belly up they come back for more free advice!!! ___________________ website: http://www.arcsystems.biz email: [Log in to view email] If you want to join the 'CARVER QUESTIONS' discussion and ask a new question, click on any 'reply to this message' within that discussion and your question will then appear on the last page.

Could you please help me, I have just come back from a weekend in Wales and my Carver Cascade 2 water heater seems to be faulty. The problem is on the electric emmersion heater. The red reset button has popped out twice as soon as I turn the pump on, but before I use the pump it heats the water fine, any ideas on this problem???. The caravan is a 1994 Mardon Dalesman 390/2 if that makes any difference. Thanks for your time in this matter. Kelly
So all this is connected to 240 volts and not the 12 volt system your pump runs on, I don't see then the pump can possibly have anything to do with the reset tripping out?? My guess then is, the normal temp stat has failed and the overtemp is catching it, this happening just as you turn a tap on is pure coincidence. I can supply a new thermostat which is a straight forward job to change, contact me direct via website/email links below for details ___________________ website: http://www.arcsystems.biz email: [Log in to view email] If you want to join the 'CARVER QUESTIONS' discussion and ask a new question, click on any 'reply to this message' within that discussion and your question will then appear on the last page.

firstly I must say a heartfelt thankyou for your help with my cascade problem. I haven't forgotten the great help you gave me. I haven't been back on the forum because I only managed to refit the beast yesterday what with the crappy weather and all, and yes it works so thankyou again. Some beer tokens on their way. regards Barney
My heater / water supply / taps were working fine but then, suddenly hot steaming water started to pour out from the side of the caravan where the hot air outlet and drain plug is. Before I start to take it all apart , any ideas what this problem may be ... is it an easy fix ?

Where ever it's leaking from will only require the offending part to be replaced, no need to remove the heater from the van ___________________ website: http://www.arcsystems.biz email: [Log in to view email] If you want to join the 'CARVER QUESTIONS' discussion and ask a new question, click on any 'reply to this message' within that discussion and your question will then appear on the last page.

All replies appreciated Tony Jenkins
You will also see the passage from the inlet up to the tank is very narrow, it is possible for this to cause the problem by being blocked by loose limescale washed in from the tank during the previous drain down. ___________________ website: http://www.arcsystems.biz email: [Log in to view email] If you want to join the 'CARVER QUESTIONS' discussion and ask a new question, click on any 'reply to this message' within that discussion and your question will then appear on the last page.
