Does anyone have software for de-codeing a citroen 3035 radio/cassette? I had work done on my Xantia (R Plate) and do not have the code! I have tried the code I thought it was but it didn't work or any ideas how to un-lock the set??

Citroen don't make radios, they just put their brand on radios made by others. Don't bother posting the model of your car. No one can figure out what your radio code is from that. Radios are coded individually. Codes only work for the one radio, not for all the radios of that make or model. To find out the code you need the serial number. Not the model number or the part number. As there are several numbers on a radio, you should probably post them all to make sure the right one is included.

Blaupunkt radio codes can usually be derived from the serial number by software, but NOT radios made by Grundig, Clarion, or Philips. These have to be looked up by someone that has access to the database. It is better to get a code from your Citroen dealer than go to the online decoding sites. Some dealers charge for this service, maybe as much as an online decoding company, but your chance of come-back is better if it doesn't work. Blaupunkt serial numbers begin with BP. Clarions usually begin with CL. Grundigs begin with GR. If you don't have a BP number, you will not get a code here.

All of this information and much more has been posted here many times. Read the existing messages before posting your own "unique" plea for help.

Ludel-

That is a Clarion model. Most Clarions can't be decoded by software, but some with serial numbers that start with "C7" can. I have the software to do it, but have never come across a serial number with the right prefix. Most start with "CL". The number you quote does not seem to be a serial number.

Thanks for the reply that number is on a white sticker that also has a bar code and another number and quite clearly the words "serial nos." also in French? against the number i quoted the other number is further up the sticker there also appears to be a Q/S stamp.

That's a Clarion model. Are you sure you are keying in the code in the right way? This site gives free instructions on how to enter the code into various different radios:

thanks for that link,

i was doing it right. it's not a very complicated method on this unit, just press the numbers in order and it should work.

it's strange.. i think i have the right code as if i put a different code in i get the error message on the screen. if i put the code that was supplied the screen reads "phone" and it stays like that until i disconnect the unit from the car and reconnect and then i get the "code in" message.

oh well. keep looking i guess.. hey, as you seem to have most of the answers on this thread can i ask you what would be a good bet for a cd radio unit for a citroen in terms of avoiding any missing code problems?

You need to know the make and model of your radio, then you can get code entry instructions for free from the site below. The model of your car is no use to anyone.

Hello

I am wondering if anyone can help me ... my battery went flat and now i can't listen to the radio!

Serial number is CL0321X0037861. For a Citroen Xantia ... I believe it is a Clarion because the serial looks like others on here.

Any help greatly appreciated

Many Thanks

Andy

Hello chaps :)

Having the same problem with the xantia I've just bought - it's got the 4 dashes along the display. Does this mean I have to leave it just sat there on for an hour? Gutted.

Can anyone help me determine the code I need to input? It's the blaupunkt make apparently (according to the sticker and number on top of the unit). Serial is 96 133 457 80. There were several other numbers on there including 72422, 1398 and 0816. Are any of these any use to anyone?

Any advice is really appreciated. cheers guys!

Christ, I just realised the advise a few posts up saying that the serial begins with a BP apparently. I couldn't find any number like this on my unit - am I out of luck?

Rathen-

Can't do anything with any of those numbers I'm afraid. I have seen only one type of Blaupunkt radio, which had the serial number on the side with a barcode.

The four dashes display usually means that there have been too many attempts to guess the code, locking the radio. Usually the word CODE or Cod is displayed when the radio is waiting for a code to be entered. You can often restore the CODE display by leaving it turned on for an hour or so, but if you keep guessing you can lock it permanently.

Argh - thanks for the help. I'll have one final look at it a bit later when I get in - otherwise it's going to be a long, lonely, quiet journey from Lincoln to Essex later today.

Thanks a lot for your advice so far.
