bugger!!
'95 ZX radio - number on side is: BP5761S663749 and on top is BPL663749 seems shorter than other numbers posted but I have my fingers crossed...
Yes, I am afraid it is a digit too short. The decoding software complains "Serial number must be 10 digits" (not counting the BP5 and the S in the middle).
Sorry! Fingers crossed once again...
For that number I get codes 5264, 1264, or 0113.
Just tried 1 (wrong) got to wait an hour now...feeling confident though.
A thousand thanks for your help morganwg :-D Awesome job!
I was wondering wether you could help with this one.... We have a Xantia R reg which has just come back from the garage and has now lost its Radio code the serial number is BP2775V9726239 does that sound right do you need anything else?? there is so many codes on it any help with this would be really really appreciated Sue
For that serial number I get codes 4565, 0565, or 0136.
Will try those its locked up with us trying all the different numbers on the radio, will let you know the result tomorrow thanks again Adverts Currently On Preloved - Place an ad here for free
Please can you try and obtain the unlock code for my Blaupunkt PH1/C Radio (Citroen Xantia 1994) Serial Number: BP2775R9016612 Part Number: 7642 775 394 Other number on top of radio (if it is any use) 96133 45780 Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
For that serial number I get the codes 2724, 0724, or 0242.
2724 worked just fine!. Many thanks for your help, it is much appreciated. Regards, Mark
thanks.
It may not be permanently locked- the first stage of locking can usually be unlocked by leaving the radio turned on for an hour or so. But DON'T try to guess the number anymore; it is possible to really lock the thing permanently. Once the CODE or COD display returns, you can try another code. Unfortunately, the decoding software I have has three different algorithms for Citroen Branded Blaupunkt radios, which usually give three different possible codes. If the first doesn't work, you will have to wait another hour, or more, to try the next. The codes I get for your serial number are 7621, 1621, or 0165.
thanks
If the radio came from another car which was NOT a Citroen, the codes I gave you might not be right. There are many Blaupunkt algorithms for models fitted to various cars. Code entry differs depending on model of radio. Here is a typical one: Blaupunkt Citroen PF1(A) Citroen code entry instructions- (very similar for PF1(B) and RDS models) Turn on radio, the display will show "COD" (or CODE) Press preset [1] repeatedly for the first digit (blank for zero) Press preset [2] repeatedly for the second digit Press preset [3] repeatedly for the third digit Press preset [4] repeatedly for the fourth digit Finally press the [station +] button to save (or station ^) (from http://radio-code.co.uk)

I have a 1996 Xantia and had to take the battery out. As a result the radio isn't working. The S/N is 27756545827. Can anyone help with a rest code? Thanks in advance!
Citroen don't make radios, they just put their brand on radios made by others. Don't bother posting the model of your car. No one can figure out what your radio code is from that. Radios are coded individually. Codes only work for the one radio, not for all the radios of that make or model. To find out the code you need the serial number. Not the model number or the part number. As there are several numbers on a radio, you should probably post them all to make sure the right one is included. Blaupunkt radio codes can usually be derived from the serial number by software, but NOT radios made by Grundig, Clarion, or Philips. These have to be looked up by someone that has access to the database. It is better to get your Citroen dealer to look up the code than go to the online decoding sites. Some dealers charge for this service, maybe as much as an online decoding company, but your chance of come-back is better if it doesn't work. Blaupunkt serial numbers begin with BP. Clarions usually begin with CL. Grundigs begin with GR. If you don't have a BP number, you will not get a code here. All of this information and much more has been posted here many times. Read the existing messages before posting your own "unique" plea for help.
