I repeatedly post an informative posting in this forum which you apparently cannot be bothered to read before making your "unique" demands for help. This posting is on every page of the last half dozen or so. Posting to a forum without first reading is true rudeness. This forum is not staffed by toadies anxious to serve your every whim. In fact it is not staffed at all. A few people monitor it to try to help out others. A thousand people drop in with their one-time demands for help and are never seen again. I will not coach each newbie individually through the stages necessary to get a code, when they simply will not read the information already presented to them. It is impossible for anyone to give you a code from your car's model number. That is item one in my informative posting. You haven't read it, so you ask for the impossible. How much time am I meant to waste on you, to solve YOUR PROBLEM?
READ BEFORE POSTING General info on radio codes- Citroen don't make radios, they just put their brand on radios made by others. Don't bother posting the model of your car. No one can figure out what your radio code is from that. Radios are coded individually. Codes only work for the one radio, not for all the radios of that make or model. To find out the code you need the serial number. Not the model number or the part number. As there are several numbers on a radio, you should probably post them all to make sure the right one is included. You will need to remove the radio from the dash to get the serial number, and probably to find out what make and model it is. Instructions for removing your radio, by model of car, can be had for free here: Blaupunkt radio codes can usually be derived from the serial number by software, but NOT radios made by Grundig, Clarion, or Philips. These have to be looked up by someone that has access to the database. It is better to get your Citroen dealer to look up the code than go to the online decoding sites. Some dealers charge for this service, maybe as much as an online decoding company, but your chance of come-back is better if it doesn't work. Blaupunkt serial numbers begin with BP. Clarions usually begin with CL. Grundigs begin with GR. Phillips begin with PH. If you don't have a BP number, you will not get a code here. Repeat- Codes can be calculated for Blaupunkt radios with serial numbers starting with "BP". Other makes with "CL", "GR", "PH" and so on, no, sorry.
I was delighted with the help and pleasant nature I had received on this website in such a short space of time - until now. Its a shame one person can cause a sour taste in the mouth for the rest of us. I don't recall seeing any help in response to the question - just a plain rude remark. Surely not what this forum is designed for?!</i> Don`t get too upset about the previous replies. Just think about it from the other side....you are asking for a <b>free </b>code without providing the relevant information or at least understanding what is required to provide the answer(This can be solved by checking previous messages before posting any question )...and you aren`t the first ...and certainly won`t be the last !...This can be very frustrating to the folk on here attempting to provide the answers ....hence one of the <i>standard</i> type messages that gets posted regularly explaining Citroen radios As my previous answer stated , if you provide the MAKE + MODEL of the radio plus ALL the LETTERS and NUMBERS found on the casing , then that will be a good starting point. On this list , they can normally only provide codes for the<b> BLAUPUNKT</b> make. If yours is something else then ask here for free <b>http://www.tinyurl.com/222codes</b> If they can not provide your code they will at least advise you and possibly point you in the right direction. Keep smiling ! {:o)

I don't know if this is related to radio codes, but, we've just had new hinges put on our Saxo door, and, as a result, we get the following error message on the radio:- "4 error". Does anyone know how/or have any guidance as to hence get the radio working again? Many thanks Philip
Thanks
