READ BEFORE POSTING

General info on radio codes-

Citroen don't make radios, they just put their brand on radios made by others. Don't bother posting the model of your car. No one can figure out what your radio code is from that. Radios are coded individually. Codes only work for the one radio, not for all the radios of that make or model. To find out the code you need the serial number. Not the model number or the part number. As there are several numbers on a radio, you should probably post them all to make sure the right one is included.

You will need to remove the radio from the dash to get the serial number, and probably to find out what make and model it is. Instructions for removing your radio, by model of car, can be had for free here:

http://www.fitaudio.com/

Blaupunkt radio codes can usually be derived from the serial number by software, but NOT radios made by Grundig, Clarion, or Philips. These have to be looked up by someone that has access to the database. It is better to get your Citroen dealer to look up the code than go to the online decoding sites. Some dealers charge for this service, maybe as much as an online decoding company, but your chance of come-back is better if it doesn't work. Blaupunkt serial numbers begin with BP. Clarions usually begin with CL. Grundigs begin with GR. Phillips begin with PH. If you don't have a BP number, you will not get a code here.

Repeat- Codes can be calculated for Blaupunkt radios with serial numbers starting with "BP". Other makes with "CL", "GR", "PH" and so on, no, sorry.

Redrooster if your stereo is a Blaupunkt then try codes 6685 or 0685.

If not then you will need to contact your dealer or search on freeads for your code.

Cheers

The only CLARION code that can be calculated on any of these free Help Boards is if you have a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with C70000000 ----

You certainly do have to laugh.

Are some folks who post here blind?...thick?...stupid?....or just bone idle and can`t be bothered to read previous postings or the regular message from Morganwg with its comprehensive message ?

Repeat:To obtain a Citroen code here , if your radio is a

BLAUPUNKT .....Yes...codes are available here

PHILIPS or GRUNDIG ...NOT available here .....try asking for free at http://www.tinyurl.com/222codes

CLARION...ONLY available here if there is a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with C7000000---- otherwise NOT available for free from anywhere

Any other make?...NOT available here...try asking for free at http://www.tinyurl.com/222codes

However , sometimes you just have to pay for a code from a Main Dealer or Radio Decode Specialist.

That`s life !
