None of the numbers you have given are usable. The number needed starts "BP" but the sixth character is a letter rather than a numeral. Are you reading a "G" as a "6"?

READ BEFORE POSTING

This information has been posted many times. If you do not read it, you will be wasting your time.

Citroen don't make radios, they just put their brand on radios made by others. Don't bother posting the model of your car. No one can figure out what your radio code is from that. Radios are coded individually. Codes only work for the one radio, not for all the radios of that make or model. To find out the code you need the serial number. Not the model number or the part number. As there are several numbers on a radio, you should probably post them all to make sure the right one is included.

You will need to remove the radio from the dash to get the serial number, and probably to find out what make and model it is. Instructions for removing your radio, by model of car, can be had for free here:

http://www.fitaudio.com/

Blaupunkt radio codes can usually be derived from the serial number by software, but NOT radios made by Grundig, Clarion, or Philips. These have to be looked up by someone that has access to the database. It is better to get your Citroen dealer to look up the code than go to the online decoding sites. Some dealers charge for this service, maybe as much as an online decoding company, but your chance of come-back is better if it doesn't work. Blaupunkt serial numbers begin with BP. Clarions usually begin with CL. Grundigs begin with GR. Phillips begin with PH. If you don't have a BP number, you will not get a code here.

Some visitors have reported that Phillips codes can be got at:

http://www.tinyurl.com/222codes

Rarely, Clarion radios have a serial number beginning C70000. There is a decoder that is supposed to work with these serial numbers, though I have had no luck with it. If your Clarion has such a serial number, then post it and I will give it a try.

Repeat- Codes can be calculated for Blaupunkt radios with serial numbers starting with "BP". Other makes with "CL", "GR", "PH" and so on, no, sorry.

If you read the regularly posted message on this thread (see above) you will realise that PHILIPS radio codes are not available on this forum ...Only BLAUPUNKT codes

Try here for a PHILIPS code

The "Reply to this message", link doesn't actually make any link to the message you are supposedly replying to, so no one can tell what message your question relates to. If you want to ask a particular poster something, you need to include their nickname, as I have done with yours above.

Most radios do not enter codes by simply pressing the button with the number you are trying to enter. More usually, you press the button labelled "1" repeatedly until the number you want is displayed for digit one of the code, then repeat the process with button "2" for the second digit and so on.

Hi there

Hope someone can please help me. I disconnected the battery on my Citroen Saxo and now the radio requires a code which I stupidly did not get from the previous owner and have now way of getting hold of it. I have already tried one website, paid them money and the code they gave me didn't work!

My radio is a 2014 RDS and the serial number is:

GR0971T6126879

I'm assuming it's a Grundig radio.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated :-)

PH1\C is a Citroen Blaupunkt model designation, but none of the other numbers you have given is the serial number needed to provide a code. The number needed starts with "BP".

Entering the wrong code too many times can indeed lock the radio, temporarily or permanently.

The details of the vehicle are of no use or interest. Please read the forum for basic information before posting.

Answer for : baggieboystu

Your radio is a GRUNDIG and the codes are not readily available.

Try asking at

http://www.ukbookshelf.co.uk

as they can calculate Citroen Grundig codes

you will need to take it to the main dealer to code it for you digitally, you cannot do it yourself - I have tried and wasted long time but eventually it ahd to be done by the machine ath dealers - charged me £30
