I don't understand- if it is a new CD player, surely it came with instructions on how to enter the code. Do you mean you bought a second-hand one? If it is a VIN coded one, like the other poster is talking about, it surely would not have come with a code supplied. You need to provide more information.
When replying to another poster, you need to put the poster's nickname in your message, so they know who you are addressing. The "reply" function on this board does not make any links between posts.
This information has been posted here many times. If you do not read it, you will be wasting your time. Citroen don't make radios, they just put their brand on radios made by others. Don't bother posting the model of your car. No one can figure out what your radio code is from that. Radios are coded individually. Codes only work for the one radio, not for all the radios of that make or model. To find out the code you need the serial number. Not the model number or the part number. As there are several numbers on a radio, you should probably post them all to make sure the right one is included. You will need to remove the radio from the dash to get the serial number, and probably to find out what make and model it is. Instructions for removing your radio, by model of car, can be had for free here: Blaupunkt radio codes can usually be derived from the serial number by software, but NOT radios made by Grundig, Clarion, or Philips. These have to be looked up by someone that has access to the database. It is better to get your Citroen dealer to look up the code than go to the online decoding sites. Some dealers charge for this service, maybe as much as an online decoding company, but your chance of come-back is better if it doesn't work. Blaupunkt serial numbers begin with BP. Clarions usually begin with CL. Grundigs begin with GR. Phillips begin with PH. If you don't have a BP number, you will not get a code here. Some visitors have reported that Phillips codes can be got at: http://www.tinyurl.com/222codes Rarely, Clarion radios have a serial number beginning C70000. There is a decoder that is supposed to work with these serial numbers, though I have had no luck with it. If your Clarion has such a serial number, then post it and I will give it a try. Repeat- Codes can be calculated for Blaupunkt radios with serial numbers starting with "BP". Other makes with "CL", "GR", "PH" and so on, no, sorry.
I bought this cd player from ebay with a 4 digit radio code.
To clarify whether your player requires a code or not , post the player`s MAKE + MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY BARCODES , LABELS or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING From this information it should be possible decide what to do next

Your radio is made by CLARION and the only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with (There are usually two barcodes on one label. The one required is the lower one ) If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)
Also the radio code i was given is 8790 Adverts Currently On Preloved - Place an ad here for free
That is a Clarion radio. And according to the site below, it is a VIN coded model, so any code supplied with it is spurious. It sounds like it may well be that you were mislead by the seller. http://www.radio-code.co.uk/post_in_radio_c......p;Submit=Search

Press preset [1] repeatedly for the first digit Finally press the [preset 6] button to save. Radio will show CODE briefly
