To enter the number 0 the appropriate space should be "blank" (ie blank equals 0). Presumably you know that entering the code is not by pressing the 0 3 4 5 keys on your radio presets (as there isn't a 0 key), rather you press preset 1 and keep it down to change the first digit of the code (it should change from blank (0) all the way up to 9 and back to blank), then use no 2 preset radio button to do the same for the second digit of the code, no 3 preset for the third digit and no 4 preset for the fourth. Or at least that's what i think, from memory, I'll check out the manual. E mail me if this doesn't work, Regards, Cliff.

The code supplied didn't but I got one of those radio code generators and it gave me three options, one of which did. If you want to send me you stereo serial no I don't mind getting the codes for you, no charge.

If you can find the radio serial number (it will usually be a bar coded label) on the side of the unit) I can ry it in my software . No charge. I don't know about removing Xantia radios, but most citroen radios are easily removed by unscrewing two facia screws and pullong it out - you don't even have to disconnect the unit to see the serial no.

HELP!! just bought an N reg Xantia. The guy I bought it off said I could get the code for free from a dealer which was crap. Ive read all previous posts that should tell me what to do. But there are already 4 numbers up on my screen when I turn the stereo on, 1416. The 6 is a little one at the top right for some reaosn. Ive pressed all buttons and none of them do anything. Does this mean I cant put in another code? do i need to go to a citroen dealer and pay their exeburant prices for rectifying the situation?!?!?! Help would be very much appreciated! Cheers, Tom

Hi Cliff,
After the batery was disconnected I need to Code for my Citroen ZX radio. The serial number (i think) on the side bar code is 7641 760 394. If you could run this through your program I would be very greatful.

Hi Oliver, From the serial number you gave me, 7641 760394, the code calculating software came up with the following options: 0812, 0377 or 0105. The reason for so many options is there are different algorithms/options in the saftware for different models and years. It also came up with 6377 but this is the code for standard Blaupunkts (branded Blaupunkt on the front rather than citroen). To eliminate the 6377 code for sure, I would suggest you turn the radio on, when you get the display up with 3 or 4 dashes then trying adjusting the first number to check it will only accept a 0 or a 1 (which is the norm for citroens I understand). It's then a case of putting in the code - I would suggest starting with 0812 as this came up twice for two algorithms, then if that doesn't work, 0377 as this is the code calculated for codes which must start with a 0 or 1, and finally 0105. You should get at least three goes at it before the unit is completely locked down (check your own car audio manual for this) and the manual should also tell how to enter a new code - basically if the first one doesn't work, you leave the unit on, untouched fo an hour for it to reset in order to accept the next try. Good luck

Hi Les,
Can you help me please. I have Citroen ZX with a Blaupunkt radio cassette, Citroen model PFI 7 641 760 394. I have just resoldered a wire on the cassette deck and now the unit wants a code and I have no idea what it is. Do you knwo what it is and how to enter it please?
I have the car security code and the radio/cassette has never needed a code before.

Hi Cliff,
Unfortunately those codes did not work and for some reason and my radio made me wait one hour after EVERY single attempt - which was annoying ... so I have gave in and phoned the Citroen garage who gave me the code for a small fortune (£11). However, quite painless as they didnt want proof of purchase or even the VIN / chase number - just my registration.
Thanks Again
Oliver
