WHAT THIS MEANS IS THAT THE WRONG CODE(i.e.the one displayed)HAS BEEN TYPED IN TOO MANY TIMES SO THE SCREEN HAS LOCKED. IF YOU LEAVE THE RADIO ON (you will need to leave the ignition on to do this) FOR AROUND TWO HOURS THEN PRESS AND HOLD DOWN THE "BAND" KEY YOU SHOULD FIND THAT THE SCREEN WILL THE DISPLAY THE WORD "CODE" AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ENTER THE CORRECT CODE.

P.S. THE LAST DIGIT OF THE CODE ON THIS PARTICULAR MODEL WILL ALWAYS BE DISPLAYED SMALLER THAN THE REST,SO THIS IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT!!

Hi there my dads battery was disconected at some point and his stereo packed in, i read different forums who said to leave the ignition on for an hour so i did so, i entered the code that was with the stereo , what do i press now? i pressed a button cant remember which one and the stereo started working, but there was a beep every 5 seconds or so, when the car was turned off then back on the code needs re-entered, although the ignition will need to be left on again before we can do that.
All i know about the stereo is its a standard fittment in a citroen zx J reg, and its got a cover that flips down over the cassette part of the unit.
hope some one can help out here.

Hi bigelvis,

After you enter the correct code you should press the UP button. This is at the top right of the radio under the flip cover ... if i remember correctly the symbol is:

Hi Cliff

The serial number for my Xantia stereo is BP 2492-2876555. Is there any chance you would be able to put this into your software and let me know the code?

Thanks very much in advance.

I believe you have accidently accessed the Manufacturer Test program for your radio, I have a Xantia, with a RDS radio cd, with the Power switched off, press and hold the BND button and press power on, this will activate your radio and you will hear your beeps, its handy to know if you want to test your radio and you dont have a code.

Can Anyone Help,

I have a Clarion PU-2294B serial no. CL0402Z0576497, It came in a van I have just bought but it asks for a code which I wasn't supplied. Does anyone have any way of obtaining the code for this stereo from the serial no..

I would also like a copy of the software if anyone could email me with it.

Cheers

Murdo

i had a citroen xantia.
not one of the better ideas i had i must admit..
any way it's gone now.
the stereo didnt say code on it when it was switched on.
it had some horizontal bars on it .
i left it connected to a battery and timed it ,
half an hour and it came up code.
so i guess that's all it takes is half hour.
i suppose they are all different though.
i bought the decode software for £1.50
and it decoded it straight away.
result

Hi there guys i know this isnt completly reletive to the forum but...

I have just bought a sony headunit for my 2001 saxo desire, but for some reason when i tern the engine of the car of the clock resets and the saved radio stations disappear and i have to re-save them every time. I was wondering if the headunit is faulty or could it be that i need to change some wires around on the wiring loom like on some vauxhalls. Please help
